I admit all this started because I have a shopping fetish and a strong love of lingerie.  Beginning in 1996 as an at-home boutique Bazaar Express (with the help of my mentor Sharon R. Cheeks, the company took several years hiatus due to the demands of working an outside job and motherhood. Once relaunched it was renamed and branded as Micah Stevens LLC in 2004 (named for sons Steven, Shaquan and Micah). But wait...I wanted something more for my company so I went to The Art Institute of Pittsburgh online for Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management. Then the growth really began.  Over time, it has grown to include an online lingerie boutique (Diva’s Treasure Chest), fashion show and event production, fashion designing and a talent incubator.

Diva's Treasure Chest is my baby. I could be wrong but I was the first to  bring lingerie trunk shows to Akron.   Trunk shows are something that my dear city has yet to grasp the concept. We (Keisha, Dominique, Teri, Mr. Braunstein and Tamara) did em anyway right at Braunstein's Tailors and Clothiers whether anyone showed up or not.

During these years I was able to join forces with others that were moving in Akron in the fashion scene. I was able to try out my tactics while behind the scenes in the productions of others. But see, these were their dreams not mine's so I couldn't do too much. However, I was building my network all along. Then one day after a show that was a disastrous collaboration, I said " hell to the f@#$ing naw! I can't waste anymore time. So Micah Stevens Fashion Week was born.  I assembled my team of stone cold divas and in less than 5 months in 2016 we did it!   We held Akron's only true fashion week with a few dollars and the grace of God.

Micah Stevens annually hosts KiDazzle and Micah Stevens Fashion Week.  This year will be the first year for our new event—The Slay Factory and in 2019 Slaymorous.  To assist models pursuing their careers successfully there is Micah Stevens Talent Incubator, the branding and management division.  2018 is proving to be an incredible year of growth as we  grow our Micah Stevens clothing brand and also introduce Tuey™, our exclusive lingerie line to be sold only through Diva’s Treasure Chest. Well the journey continues.  Micah Stevens also provides services to retail establishments and boutiques. My team and I are committed to building a bona fide fashion empire.  We have the strategic partnerships and resources to make it happen and we will.
